Please download your new website by following these instructions...

The files are located in a 'zip file' which can be downloaded here by 'right clicking' and 'saving target as'. Please save the file onto your desktop for easy access later on.

You must then extract the files from the zip folder by right-clicking on the icon on your desktop and following the 'unzip/extract files' option. If you don't have the correct software for doing this you can find a free 'evaluation copy' here.

Setting up the website...

You will need a copy of a web-editor such as 'Microsoft Front-Page' to edit your site. There are also plenty of free web-editors available if you prefer and you can find a list of them here.

See the 'Power Profits' book for ideas on how to get Microsoft Frontpage for free.

To install your site onto your web-editor and get it online, please follow the instructions below...

Creating a new website folder with Microsoft Frontpage:

1. Extract the files to a location you will remember e.g. your Desktop.

2. Open Microsoft FrontPage and from the menu at the top of the page choose file > open site.

3. Browse to the location of the unzipped files (desktop?) and when you have located the correct folder, left click once to highlight it, and then click 'open'.

4. Microsoft FrontPage will now display your website ready for editing.

5. 'Double Click' on the website file if it appears.

6. 'Double click' a web page such as 'index.htm' to start editing.

Buying a domain name:

You'll need to get a domain name and web-hosting account. There are numerous companies that will supply you this service and you can find them by typing 'website hosting' into Google. Their fees vary, so shop around and see what what you can find. This shouldn't cost you more than $10 per month.

Use a site such as www.domain.com for instance.

Using an FTP program to get your website online:

FTP (File transfer protocol) is the method by which files are transferred from your computer to the internet and you will need to download a ftp program. I recommend WS-FTP LE although you can FTP for free with Microsoft Frontpage.

WS-FTP is free for 30 days and is easy to use. After 30 days you will need to upgrade and buy the full program - a one time payment of about $70.

As I've already said, you'll also need a web hosting account that offers ftp access.

Email your web-hosting company for any advice concerning the information below. DO NOT EMAIL ME as I won't know!! Every web-host is different. If you decide to use a different FTP program other than the one I have recommended, email their customer support if you run into problems...

So, once you have downloaded WS-FTP LE, find the folder in which you placed it and double click on it. It will then install the ftp program for you. After it installs, open it up and 2 windows will appear.
The first one is called Session Properties. Below is what information you will need to type into that one.


Profile Name: this is any name you wish
HostName/Address: usually looks like ftp.yoururl
Host Type: usually "Automatic detect"
User ID: your webhosting account ID
Password : your webhosting account password
Usually nothing has to be in the Account or Comment. Tick "save Pwd" and untick 'anonymous".
Then press "Apply" then "OK"


You will only have to put all this information in the first time you log into your ftp account.

Then, in the window you have left open, you should notice a left and right side to it.
The Right side is what files you already have in your account so far.
On the left hand side you will need to press the "ChgDir" button and type into that pop up box your hard drive directory (usually c:\ ) then press ok. You will now see your hard drive folders on the left hand side.
Find the folder in which you keep your files that you want to upload and double click on it. You will now notice those files you double clicked on will appear on your right hand side into your web-hosting account. They will then appear live on the internet.

Note: For each html file you upload, you will also need to upload each graphic that goes with that webpage.

After you have successfully created a new website folder in 'Microsoft FrontPage' with all the correct files in place, follow these instructions:

1. If you haven't done so already, the first thing you need to do is to sign up with Clickbank.com which you can do here. Once you have signed up and have received your affiliate ID, you'll have access to over 10,000 products you can promote for commissions.

2. Once you have your ID, you will need to go through all the products on the website and replace the example ID ( mds1234) with your ID. I will give you an example...

'mds1234' is the random Clickbank ID. If your ID was 'john2468', you would need to change the link to look like this: http://john2468.psearch.hop.clickbank.net

You can do this by following these instructions:

- Whilst on the 'design' mode (Design - bottom left of the page), highlight 'Visit website' with the cursor and then click the hyperlink icon at the top of the page..

- You will see the link. Delete 'mds1234' and replace it with your ID. Click 'OK ' and you're done!

3. You will then need to change the text (and products/pictures if you want) on the website. This is an absolutely vital step because if you have exactly the same text as other websites, you WILL NOT rank in the search engines - in fact you will be penalised by them! This will take you 10 minutes or so to complete but it is essential.

You don't need to re-write everything, just slightly re-word each sentence. After all, your website will be unique - and that's what you want!

4. The next step is to add 'Google AdSense' ads. You can sign up here:

Follow the link on Google's website for 'adsense set-up' and select the following options:

Adsense for content > Ad unit > Format as 'Leaderboard (728 x 90)' > leave everything else as it is > press continue.

You will then be given a box with some code in it which will look like this:

You now need to bring the website up in 'design mode' so 'minimise' the Adsense webpage. Don't 'close' it though.

Do the following:

- Select 'design mode' (Design .),

- Delete the 'Google Adsense Goes Here' text and after you've done this you need to position the cursor in the middle of the long thin table located within the box at the bottom of the page.

-Bring up the webpage with the adsense code on again, highlight the code and then press 'Ctrl then C' on your keyboard to copy it. Alternatively you can go to 'edit' at the top of the page and then select 'copy'.

- Go back to the webpage and place the cursor in the middle of the adsense box so it's static again. Then select the 'code' mode (Code ) which is located at the bottom left of the screen and then paste the adsense code by pressing 'Ctrl then V' on your keyboard (or 'edit' then 'paste'). You do not need to touch anything or move the cursor at any point during this stage.

- Select 'preview' mode at the bottom left and you will see a preview of the ads. It will probably be a default ad rather than actual text ads. The correct ads will appear once your site is online.

- Save the page and repeat these steps with the other pages. If you make a mistake during this process don't worry...press the 'undo' button ( ) until you get back to where you were previously. Or close the page down without saving it.

5. Add more products, more detailed product reviews, more pages.. the more you add the more money you will make and the higher you will rank in the search engines!

To create more review pages, you don't actually need to design another page from scratch....

Without closing the page down after doing so, simply 'save' the page you want copied ( such as review.htm) so you don't lose it and then at the top left of the page go to:

 file > select 'save as' > then replace the 'file name' with the title of the new page > press 'save'

You will then have a new page to start another review.

Please note: the original page will disappear but will be stored in the website files section on the left hand side of the page - so don't panic!
